Client Challenges

As part of the CON 885 Turnkey Framework, ESB Networks required a competent contractor to complete the EPC delivery of the 220 kV GIS substation at Killonan Co. Limerick. This was the first project awarded from the CON 885 Framework.

H&MV's Solution

H&MV Engineering’s scope included detailed design, procurement, supply, installation, and commissioning of the DNO 220 kV GIS Substation, and PSDP and PSCS were appointed for the project.
A full 3D model of the station is being prepared as part of the design process.
Responsible for issuing the Integrated Test Plans (ITPs), Construction Management Plans, Quality Plans, and Safety Management Plan. H&MV Engineering were responsible for safety & risk management throughout the project lifecycle and produced a complete set of electrical as-built drawings and handover file.
