H&MV Engineering Celebrates Milestone Trafford anniversary with Office Expansion

H&MV Engineering marks first anniversary of Trafford office with significant expansion.

Strategic growth includes doubling of office space and recruitment of 18 graduates.

Expansion reinforces commitment to North West engineering excellence.

Greater Manchester, 13th February 2024 – H&MV Engineering, a leading global provider of specialist design, engineering and construction services for the energy market, today announced the expansion of its Trafford office, coinciding with the location’s first anniversary.

The strategic growth includes securing additional space within their current premises, reflecting the company’s successful establishment in the North West and its commitment to the region’s engineering excellence.

The expansion comes in response to significant growth in H&MV Engineering’s North West operations, driven by increasing demand for their specialist services across the region. The office, in Altrincham, has established itself as a hub for early careers talent, with six of the new recruits in the last year being graduates, interns, or apprentices, demonstrating H&MV’s commitment to developing the next generation of engineering professionals.

Located in the heart of Trafford with excellent transport links, including Manchester Airport, the expanded office space will enhance H&MV Engineering’s ability to service both local and international projects. The facility includes state-of-the-art meeting spaces, collaborative work areas, and innovative design suites, creating an environment that supports the company’s commitment to engineering excellence.

Nigel Taylor, UK Managing Director at H&MV Engineering comments:

“When we chose Trafford as our North West hub, we had a clear vision of creating not just another office, but a centre of engineering excellence. In just one year, we’ve exceeded our initial growth projections, necessitating this expansion. The remarkable talent pool, supported by Greater Manchester’s world-class universities, has been instrumental in our success. This expansion represents our commitment to the region and our confidence in its future as a key engineering hub.”

Rachel Eyre, Head of Advanced Manufacturing and Low Carbon at MIDAS, Manchester’s Inward Investment Agency, said:

“H&MV Engineering’s growth and expansion in Greater Manchester exemplifies our city-region’s strength as a destination for advanced engineering companies.

“Having supported H&MV in the expansion of their North West operations, we’re delighted to see their significant investment in both facilities and talent. The expansion demonstrates both the company’s success and the compelling advantages Greater Manchester offers to international firms in the engineering sector.”

Cllr Tom Ross, Leader of Trafford Council, said:

“Trafford is a fantastic destination, and we are home to a number of very successful world class businesses. The Council is totally committed to helping businesses in Trafford grow and prosper through our Strategic Growth Team. We are also committed to helping provide and support a thriving economy in the borough and giving young people the best start in life. The fact that H&MV is expanding its Trafford operation and recruiting 18 graduates is fantastic news and we wish them all the very best for the future.”

The Trafford office serves as a strategic hub for several significant projects in the region, including the new Stockport data centre development. This expansion strengthens H&MV Engineering’s position in the North West and enhances their capability to deliver innovative solutions for data centre and renewables clients across the UK.
