Client Challenges

Amex Stadium Ltd. required a 5 MVA connection and 2 km off site 11 kV cable route for a new mixed-use housing and commercial development. There was tight timeframes and deadlines, interfacing with UKPN and outage schedules.

H&MV's Solution

H&MV Engineering were awarded as Principal Designer and Contractor for the project. This project required effective communication with the local community and all relevant stakeholders.
H&MV designed and gained approval from UK Power Networks (SPN) for the adoptable infrastructure network from the high voltage point of connection to two ring main units (RMUs).
Carry out offsite excavation works and supply/install 125mm ducts where required from the point of connection to the site boundary. Responsible for issuing the CDM appointments, temporary works register, quality plans, and safety management plan. H&MV Engineering was responsible for the safety and risk management throughout the project lifecycle and produced a complete set of electrical as-built drawings and handover files.
